The Oral Tradition ROOTS Foundation is committed to reviving the oral traditions, promoting youth leadership and encouraging community development.
Vision Statement
Through the use of oral traditions and youth mentorship, The Oral Tradition ROOTS Foundation aims at empowering our youth and communities in enhancing their creative talent and leadership capabilities.
The mains points of interest of “ROOTS” include:
- To revive the lost oral traditions of our Ancestors;
- To sensitize the community of the need to continue this tradition;
- To provide a medium for the expressions of talented poets;
- To provide a medium for educative and informative reading.

Michael Josiah, President of “PAVI” receives a donation of $2094.00 from Mtima Solwazi, Founder & Chairman of “ROOTS” to assist in the purchase of assistive technology. On Sunday 6th December 2010 ROOTS held its inaugural Tea and Talent in commemoration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities and the bicentennial birth anniversary of Louis Braille at Centre Point Mall, Chaguanas….
